Frequently asked questions
Practical answers about starting a medical malpractice enquiry with Vensa Law.
Free case evaluation ↗
Do you help international patients treated in Turkey?
Yes. Vensa Law represents international patients with enquiries about medical treatment received in Turkey. Tell us where and when you were treated, the provider’s name and the concerns you would like reviewed. The initial assessment helps identify the records and next steps relevant to your circumstances.
Does a poor treatment result automatically mean medical malpractice?
No. A disappointing result or a complication does not, by itself, establish medical negligence. A review considers the treatment records, information and consent process, relevant standards of care, and the connection between any alleged failing and the harm reported. Medical expert input may be needed.
What documents should I prepare for a case evaluation?
Prepare a short timeline, medical records, consent forms, treatment invoices, relevant photographs and correspondence with the provider. Include any follow-up reports and records of additional expenses. Keep the originals and tell the team which documents are missing; you can make an initial enquiry before every record is available.
Can I contact you after returning to my home country?
Yes. You can start an enquiry from outside Turkey using our contact form. Explain your location and preferred way to communicate. The team can discuss document exchange and any authorisation, attendance or other formalities that may be needed for the proposed legal work.
Are there deadlines for bringing a claim?
Time limits can depend on the legal basis of the claim, the provider involved and the circumstances of the treatment. Ask for advice promptly so the relevant dates can be checked. Do not assume that correspondence with a clinic preserves every deadline.
How much compensation could I receive?
There is no fixed compensation amount for a treatment or procedure. Any assessment depends on the evidence, the harm suffered, documented losses and the applicable legal rules. The team can explain which losses may be relevant to your case. Previous results do not guarantee a similar outcome.
How long does a medical malpractice case take?
The time required varies with the records available, medical expert assessment, the parties’ responses and any negotiation or court process. An initial review helps explain the likely stages and uncertainties. A reliable completion date cannot be promised before the circumstances of the case are understood.
Is the initial case evaluation free?
Vensa Law offers a free initial case evaluation. This is an opportunity to explain your circumstances and ask what further review would involve. The scope of any additional work, legal fees and possible expenses should be discussed before representation is agreed.
